Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems game crashes to destop when scrying dwarf

this has hapened to me 2 times in a row. i reboot before restoring the game and when i get to that point again, the game just dumps me to desktop. whats going on? has anyone else had this problem when scrying for the league of 7? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

Try running the configuration program and switching to software or Direct Draw mode, until you get past the scrying scene; that usually helps. Some people have had intermittent problems, but if they do something else in the game for a few minutes, then scry again it would work.

just curios, why does it happen at that point?

I don't know why it happens; apparently there is something different about those videos, or the way they are implemented, which make them more susceptible than other cut scenes to problems on some systems.

BTW, you can not successfully scry for the dwarf until you have recruited at least 5 other council members, so do that first if you haven't already.

yep, did it. you dont get a succesfull scry till after the orc , at least thats the way it was for me. oh, and i did em from left to right.
