Hi,
I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to add magical rings to future games that Larian releases.
Thanks.

There were rings in Divinity that had magical properties or are you suggesting that the rings allow the person to cast spells? Both are excellent ideas.

Hi Nero,
I don't really remember seeing magical rings in Divinity...at least not any that could be used by a player character.
Thanks.

Hi Jurak,
I think rings are nice. They can add a whole new set of magical powers to a character or strengthen existing ones such as armor and resistances. After all, you have ten fingers. Why not put rings on your character? A maximum of ten rings can be placed on a character or maybe more? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />
Thanks.

There were rings in the game. Some were quite powerful. Of course you could only wear two at a time. I like the ten finger idea. And why not multiple amulets too?

Hi,
I keep hearing talk of there being rings in the game. I don't really remember picking up any or seeing any unless you mean some circles. Lol, just kidding. By the way, what does it mean when I see under number of replies, 7 (2)? What does the 2 in parentheses mean?
Ah...yes...(edit)...now I remember....I haven't played the game for weeks...Plus, there were so few good rings in the game. Not a lot. There ought to be more with some special properties.
Thanks.

More rings that you can put charms in would be helpful. Wearing 10 rings though, not sure about that with the size of some rings. The more powerful the ring the larger it is, right? Maybe 3 on each hand.

You can only wear two rings - one on each hand - because having that many magical energies that close to each other is dangerous.

Yeah, you're right. Besides imagine swinging a sword with 10 rings. Plus no one wears rings on thumbs... So 2 rings and a necklace is the optimal layout, no?

Hi,
Having ten rings on a finger does not have to be dangerous. As a game developer, you can simply decide to make this safe, implement this decision, and then wearing ten rings would be safe. Lets suspend our disbeliefs and move away from logic. This is the fantasy world we're talking about here. I'm sure we can break some rules here and there. Having a lot of magical energies so close to each other doesn't have to be dangerous. It can be perfectly safe. A ring doesn't have to be large. They can be made smaller. I don't really know how small those charms in Divinity are considering that they can fit inside or outside a ring. A ring that is powerful does not neccesarily have to be bigger. It could've been a small, normal ring enchanted with powerful magic.
Thanks.

Well, agree, mate: If you can weak 10 rings, isn't that a bit too much? If you find the good rings, you can be almost invincible! It will make the game much less challenging. Plus as I said, you cannot swing your sword as well if you wear 20 kilograms of gold.

Hi Death,
Game difficulty can be adjusted accordingly....Of course you can swing your sword with 20 kilograms of gold. You are a very powerful warrior...You can smash 500 pound bricks with your bare fists! Anyway, in Divinity, you could carry any amount of gold without being encumbered. Ten rings is not a problem. The size of the rings doesn't have to be a problem either. It doesn't have to make combat more difficult or maybe it could. This is another choice for game developers to make. Who knows? Those rings could have been designed to fit any finger. Once you try to put one around your finger, it clamps down to its proper size and you can also easily take it out.
Thanks.

Thanks. The sword will slip form your hands anyway. If you can carry unlimited gold without encumbrance, it doesn't mean that rings weight nothing. In most games gold does weight something.
