does it exist? or can i make a copy. i think i remember a jewler that said he could make any piece of jewlery given a picture. or is the necklace somewhere in the wasteland? just finishing a few odds and ends before i hit the gong. oh, speaking of the wasteland, should i bring anything in particulare with me. was thinking a chest and bedding material might be nice, if i could carry em.

Hi arnlof,

For the necklace, you'll need to make a copy of it. The original necklace does not exist in the game. Bring all your gold and make sure you are wearing your best equipment. Then, look at each item you have and ask yourself some sort of question like if I could only bring one more item with me, which would it be? If I could only bring two what would they be? If I could only bring 3,4,etc, what would they be....Bring as much as you can without being unencumbered. Also, start buying what you feel is important. Don't worry too much about buying though because you'll also be able to trade in the Wastelands.

Thanks.

You'll have to visit Elmer Vignus the dwarven jeweller for a copy. It's deceitful, yes, but you get a nice long kiss for it.
As for the wasteland, take everything you will need. A chest and bedding are certainly good ideas. All your gold, gems, items, etc. as well, because there are good golden charms to buy in the wastelands but they are expensive.

Sorry Lockmar didn't mean to repeat. The posts must have been a minute apart.

Hi arnlof,

Your welcome. Entering a romance with deceit in this game is neccesary to solve this quest whether your player character is male or female. Still, on a personal note though, the solution to this quest would have been blocked if you chose to be a character who was purely good and honest. After all, what kind of good person would deceive another to get into a relationship? This type of question would have prevented you from solving this quest leading you to look everywhere for the original necklace. It's like some sort of invisible mental barrier. Anyway, these and other invisible barriers come between us and the solution to almost any elusive problems we face.

Thanks.

There is a bug with putting items in a container in your inventory (the weight is not updated right away), which will let you bring as much as you want to the wastelands. Save first, since there is a potential problem exploiting this which can destroy items. See weight bug and disappearing chests

The trip to the wastelands is one way, so bring everything you may want later (dump any spare keys you are hanging onto, and sell all your loot if you want to buy charms and spell books).
