Very well made short movie

Takes about 10 minutes - and although that may be long for some people , it's worth it! -- Doubleclick the screen for fullscreen.

And please, don't give any spoilers in here

Well Bean, it's a short movie afterall (not sure that's the correct english term though?), and just like short stories, they often tend to have surprising endings, plot twists - They aim at a different audience than most Hollywood movies

Sorry you can't see it Carrie... Did you try the hints given in the Divinity Help Desk topic yet? Other than that, maybe you need to update your windows media player? Or maybe you need to install a codec...

A Codec no doubt, I actually had a similar problem for a long time. I fixed it by checking the properies of the movie file (well, I had the actual file, it's harder for online movies). There it showed the codec for the movie and I did an online search. Turns out it comes with Windows XP, but that the codec still was sort of incomplete. I had to copy the code from somebody's post, make it into a special sort of zip file, unpack it and put it in the right directory heh. Took me a good 15 minutes of work, but since then I can watch most movies with both sound and image.

I think Windows Media Player has all the current codecs. Not sure because I don't watch movies on WMP often: I'd rather watch them on DivX Player 2 or Power DVD.

@carrie.....try this much smaller than Mediaplayer, and free as well!!
plays: movies, mp3's, graphic slideshows, thumbnails, wide variety of options,
...... Irfanview and don't forget the plugins as well...

That was the exact codec I had to replace. Windows codec was faulty when trying to play certain files, it only played sound, no image.

Yep. That happens more often.
And when you follow the "help on the web" link, you get a page where they tell you no help is available.

btw Carrie?
What players do you have on your puter?
You can play different kinds of files on different kinds of players.

Or maybe you just need to update your WMP.

Well... other popular ones are Real Player (or RealOne Player), Quick Time and DivX Player.
And you can try Winamp ofcourse.
There are others too.
