Is there any rel benefit to this quest? 1st time I tried it Corina got slaughtered by the Demon and the quest failed. Is it worth it to join the guild, free her pal, and loose the Rep? Also just incase anyone was wondering there is no payoff for killing the Engineer in the Abby.

You get "Banish" if you succeed in helping Corinna - you get one of the sacrifice items if you free Penumbra in the Thieves Guild, 2 skill lvls of your choice, XP and can loot a lot - does this help?

It would have been better to pay the Engineer instead of killing = more XP.

The reason you failed is because you didnt get the real tree branch. You bought the fakie from that merchant (sorry for my vagueness. Im not up there with it all <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />). If you complete it you get 1 point in banish.

And yes it is worth it to join the thieves guild. You get 3 quests i think, one of them being free that pnemba (again sorry about misnaming and such). Also you pick up 1 skill in lockpicking, and 1 in either lockpicking, pickpoketing and theres another you can choose from, but Im not sure which one exactly.

So all in all its worth it to join the thieves!
