theres a tip saying to do this its easyer but when i hit ctrl nothing happens

If you use CTRL, your char targets the enemy, but you have to press your combat button additionally. So, CTRL + left mouse for weapon/right mouse for spells) helps you to hit an enemy, instead of keeping track by chasing the enemy with your mouse pointer.

Enemy description has to be seen on the screen, then CTRL + mouse button hits the nearest enemy.

I usually hold ctrl. Try to hold it and hover the mouse over a group of fighting actors.

when using ranged attacks, is there a way to make ur char stay in one position, rather than rushing too close, and scrambling like mad to get to safety, then start shooting? does Shift key do something like that? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

Shift allows you to scroll the camera.

If you have allies, you'd better not target them. If you have many allies it is hard not to target them. Use of Ctrl is very effective in such situations.

Ah this little key is one of the main reasons I like DD better than any other similar games (eg Diablo). I never really played the Diablo series because it's too hard to keep clicking on all those enemys...but that isn't the only reason I like DD <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
