The fact that the non interactive dialogue appears over the speakers head is great and works well for random NPCs conversations with each other around town but I feel its too easy to miss things directed at your character. For instance when you meet the figures coming out of the tutorial dungeon I missed some the dialogue as my screen wasn't positioned right to see it. Yes you can read it in the log but it's not an ideal situation as sometimes you might not even notice it appeared. Case in point I tend to range the camera far ahead of my characters to better see what's ahead and upon playing through a second time I noticed several scripted dialogues where the two characters would speak to each other that I just plain missed my first play through as my camera was not directly on either of them (and the log is not something you constantly pay attention to). Its not a terribly large problem as most of the dialogue that doesn't get it's own box is relatively unimportant but it is a non idea situation at least for me. Just my 2 cents.
