WTF is that supposed to mean laugh :

[Linked Image]

I think the second and third words means "how much" and the second line reads "Blacksmith"

blacksmiting
lvl 2 - 20-40 durability
xxxxx durability
xxxxx +
weapon/ xxxx xxxx
xxxxx

That's all I can make of it, xxxx being unreadable.

"Well, it'll certainly impact dealing with a broken nazg and maybe let you improve existing ones too"

Sounds good though.

I think I can read a few more words:

crafting (how much?)

blacksmiting
lvl 2 - 20-40 durability
no xxx durability
decrease +
weapon/ armor (???) crafting
requirement

So Swen's been reading our forum discussions on how Repair should be fixed... awesome! Just hope he 1) gets rid of permanent durability decreases altogether (which the translated note does seem to say, thanks to you folks), and 2) makes higher Repair/"Blacksmithing" ability levels actually worth taking - i.e. not just having them mean you need to click a hammer a couple extra times to be able to repair every single piece of equipment to 100%.

(I wrote elsewhere about the idea to have higher Repair/Blacksmithing ability levels be prerequisites for repairing more valuable/higher-level equipment, and/or to have the highest level even allow you to improve equipment slightly "beyond 100%." But I think I've spammed this idea enough elsewhere. wink )

Cheers Larian!

P.S. Gyson - guess you need to tell Swen you're happy.

Yes, that's good.
But we'll still have to see if blacksmith will be good enough to invest in with the current replacement speed of weapons/armor, where you usually find a new one before the old's broken (although fixing issues with durability not being substracted on skills or block might totally change that).

Right - currently armor pieces degrade slowly (which I personally like), but weapons degrade very, very quickly, so under the existing system, I'm trashing old weapons for new constantly.

But now that this note confirms they're changing things up, I'm really interested to see what's in the next beta update...
