Sorry for my bad english 1st.
Cant wait for the release, brought the beta from steam 2 weeks ago. Clocked 22 hours game play. Here are my report:
Fundamental Design Flaw 1. Non Combat Movement Speed No idea why everything move so illogical(its a game, should having fun). First 5 hours gameplay really make me sick. The slow movement speed is making the game awful.
2. Awful Camera Control We are the player. We take control of the in-game camera. The Camera now feels like "Not cooperative" Example : When player panning the camera using "AWSD", the camera will sometime centered back to in-game main char. Very annoying. Why? I found that the Awful Mouse Control setting was the culprit. <0.5 Sec click on map = move to the point (it wont override camera control) >0.5 Sec Click on map = moving toward the click direction (it will centered the camera to in-game char)
3. "Challenging" Mouse Control I played lots of games. But never see a game that challenge you via "Hard to use" Mouse Pointer. Example : 3.1 In Combat, click hit target become move near to target. Solution : User have to move the pointer on "Head" of the target, so the system will read as "Attack". Otherwise, it read as "Move" 3.2 In Combat, some target are really hard to "Click", the mouse pointer have a very low possibility to become "Attack" on some target (small, or too large target.(the fire totem)) Solution, u need to rotate the camera, sometime it will become "Attack-able"
4. "Not-responsive" Keyboard Using key to reply dialog. Pressing <1 sec = Nothing, Pressing >1sec = valid input.
Movement, Click >1 sec = moving towards Movement, Click <1 sec = move to point * This setting is currently annoying. It takes you 10+ hours of game play to get used to it. Overall i give the control scheme of DOS 3/10. Its really Unpolished, it damage the game experience.
Some Game Killing Bug that even haunt until Beta: Play >1 Hour = No Sound.
Quest System 1. Currently Quest System in DOS can be broken. The Sequence of the Quest can be easily mess up if Player wonder around, keep exploring the map. Example quest that i broke : Arhu's Failed Experiment - I kill it 5000 machine before i speak with Arhu and Fabolous 5, quest stucked. 2. Quest, Quest indicator, Quest Journal seem not that informative. Alot player stucked in the middle of quest. I have no idea how to fixed this Quest System, but seem Quest is one of the very core part in DOS, LARIAN need to pay attention.
Combat 1. Some char die in combat will force everybody out of combat. Then re-enter the combat when you move another char. 2. Some enemy took years to complete their turn
---------------- Suggestion to Improvement ----------------
Many Features. None is Epic I wish i can be a big fan for D:OS. i hope for an hardcore RPGs for years. But when i get through the game beta. It sound promising and highly potent. But it still far from Epic.
Character Customization Free, Complexity and Creativity. I dont mind that currently there is a limitation on Char Outlook. The skill are a bit focused on "Interaction with Environment" which make some class are not so "fun" to play.
- Limited Talent might be the key to problem. - More Equipment Slot might add complexity and fun. - Why all different Class shared same Ability Tree? A Warrior require same point to level up Way of Ranger like a Ranger? Choosing a class sound meaningless (just affect the preset ability)

Arhu's Failed Expirement cannot be completed, even *if* you follow standard protocols. It's just busted at the moment. Has nothing to do with it's order of completion.
D:OS is class-free system. So that's why they share the same abilitytree. Starting classes feel like just a base rather than a choice since they're exactly that, and you're free to deviate from your path at any time.

Yeah, most players seem to move using a standard Hack'n'Slash pattern : hold mouse button and drag the pointer. As a result, the bugs in the "RTS" waypoint system ( click once to set your character in motion ) have only been reported and acknowledged recently. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. 3.1 In Combat, click hit target become move near to target. Solution : User have to move the pointer on "Head" of the target, so the system will read as "Attack". Otherwise, it read as "Move" 3.2 In Combat, some target are really hard to "Click", the mouse pointer have a very low possibility to become "Attack" on some target (small, or too large target.(the fire totem)) Solution, u need to rotate the camera, sometime it will become "Attack-able" This is indeed driving me a bit mad :p Having 15 AP available and watching my archer waste them moving into melee range when I just wanted her to shoot her damn crossbow is ... quite frustrating. It even happened that right when I clicked to attack, the foe's idle animation changed, resulting in me clicking right between their arm and their body, on the ground behind them, instead of ON them. - Why all different Class shared same Ability Tree? A Warrior require same point to level up Way of Ranger like a Ranger? Choosing a class sound meaningless (just affect the preset ability) This is actually intended. The presets are here only to be that, presets. It's been told in the future we will be able to ignore presets and handpick our starting skills. D:OS is meant to be a classless system.

Use right-click to make them stop. While it's still AP's wasted, it's not quite as bad as the ranger being melee and all AP's being gone.

Crafting Havnt Try Yet Quest system: if you add a modern hand holding (brainless) system to this game, you basically screw the whole Ultima mood. You can complete every quest in the beta (except the broken ones) through exploration. Thank god this is not another modern mass market (brainless) RPG. Character System: I can't see how a class-centric system with tons of boring "+1" talents could enhance the game experience. Same goes for the additional slots. Kind of agree on the other points.
