anyway it's an online thingy......fer about 15bucks a month! and a 300MB+ dwnld

as i watched the beginning of the trailer, i had visions of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> running through my head! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Sorry Jurak, but what have you found interesting besides good price?

It looks like ordinary MMORPG, but with poor graphics and no any new features, look at screenies (I haven't looked at trailer)

everquest looks ok,
warcraft maybe?,

I am not big strategy fan. But that world of warcraft is in another genre. It is RPG, and Blizzard knows how to make blockbusters <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I've played Neocron. It's pretty cool, or at least it will be by 2004.

can't somebody make a good mmorpg without having to pay for it all the time after you bought it.

planeshift is in develop fase and is free and will always stay free. It open source. Theire is now an Alpha release. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

But you can only walk talk, and find gems, no quests(1 but works 50-50) yet and only 1 city <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />. But it's fun to play hide and seek. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

That's the whole point of a MMO game: a team of devs are working hard to constantly update the game world. Besides you are playing on a server which should support several hundreds of players.
No, there can never be a good MMO without monthly payments.

Note: The whole point of MMO games is to suck blood and money out of people and to replace the real world with the imaginary. It's like Matrix, really: the only difference is that here people are used to drain money from, not energy.

It is like going to the movies rather than watching a DVD or a video tape.
You may not pose, replay, or go to sleep and continue later.
I just came back from watching HULK today.
The 3:30 party was sold, so I bought a ticket out of the last ten for 6:30 and I regretted it badly.
