It is now a known fact that RIAA has started a campagn against Kazaa users.
This move caused a serie of debates all over the internet.
While wandering arround the net, I found an interesting site.
Interesting to note that several artists do not mind MP3 and filesharing. It is a subject I am very interested in: what will happen next?
Will RIAA cause Kazaa to stop? Will more artists support filesharing?

Both. www.tk-lite.tk@kazaalite (or what was his name) was on the list.

Note that it applies only to supernodes. Also Kazaalite is more secure and blocks RIAA's scripts. Looks like it doesn't work perfectly .

PM me, faile.

When I lived in Residence at my univiersity (freshman and sophmore years), my friend and I ran an ftp site right of the schools server we all had a T1 EDU connection so the transfer rates were fennominal (sp), anyway we traded mostly in movies, but had music too. At the end of my second year the IT guys at school caught on and banned us from using shcool internet, they also restricted acess to Kazzaa to all students!!!!! (sorry guys) Imho file sharing will go on in whatever form be it Kazzaa or Morphius, they can try to stop one and ten will spring up.

If I had self-produced songs and access to Kaza, then I'd upload them to Kaza, just to tease the RIAA.

OF COURSE I would put a kind of license agreement to this forbidding paying money for them ...

If there would be artists - unknown ones, of course, they are not the ones the RIAA is "protecting" ! - uploading their songs tio Kaza, would the RIAA try to stop them ? And what kind of explanations would they have to use ?

These are just thought-plays I have always in my mind while reading about the music industry.

They are controlled by lawmen and - what's the word in English ? - Buchhaltern (people wanting money to flow into the company). They have lost ANY artistioc point of view nowadays, I fear.

And what's even worse : They do NOT understand that it is their cash-controlled marketing that forces the people to do that.

The small, independent artists are not the ones the music industry wants to "protect". They don't produce cash, therefore they are not interesting for the Buchhalters.

my catch 22 with kazaa is: the bands that don't care about you downloading the music, like local, independent underground bands, are the ones that i want to support by buying their music.

Failie is completely right!
Most bands I'd like to support are not famous.

Kiya informs me that the word I was looking for is "accounting manager".

Kiya just has a dictionary and this says: accountant/manager - Kiya can read - that's all.
