Ok, first off when I save the game and then load it back up I get a windows error beep and kicked off to the desktop. Then that save is simply lost, it isnt a permissions thing. Anyways, I know what causes it to do this I simply dont know how to fix it. When I save a save to a new spot I can then load it up no problem, but once I overwrite then I can kiss that save good bye.. Anything I can do to fix this?

Can you please send an email to support@larian.com?
Maybe refer to this thread here as well.

Did you always have this problem?
Which patches did you apply?
Do you have an error.txt file in the Run folder where you have the game installed? That might contain helpful information.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Overwriting is the critical word.
It is an operation that comprises of deleting the old saved files and writing new ones.
Now if your computer issues a delayed privilege violation error-message, your application would be terminated in the middle of that process. Naturally, if it was terminated at the middle of writing a file you shall lose the saved game. Therefore, you MUST have administrative privileges turned on, and make sure that the full path to your saved directory is not write-protected.
Cheers.
