he's basically a completely different person. since you didn't summon him directly...you don't get the xp for him killing monsters. word of advice though...level up as much as possible before going into the room at the NW corner of the map. There is a steel guardian in there that is pretty tough to beat for low level characters. He killed my bodyguard in something like 3 or 4 hits. I never put points into summoning so I can't help you with that part of the question.

Yes, the undead bodyguard is considered as a second character and robs you of points. scorpions would be e better choice because they are stronger, more and they pass points to you. Summoned creatures are yours and they should add to your points when they hit, but guest characters do not.

Cheers.

You raise a good point for . Is theire party Exp or can your char have level 50 and the deathknight level 1? Exp point per char or party.

No, you do not get deduction but you are robbed from the possible experience you would have gained if it were you who killed the foe rather than your companion. In very simple words, if you do not fight you do not gain fighting experience points, so if your companion kills your foes then why should you gain that experience?
Scorpions are your weapon and they behave like a sword. Thus, you hit your foe with an arrow, a sword or a scorpion and gain experience points but you do not hit them by the sword of a death knight you have summoned to add to your experience but rather to his/its/hers experience.

This question is a matter of logic. Who gains experience, the one who fights or the one who sleeps?
However, you do not want to gain experience and lose reputation.
That is why you need to balance your commands such that evil kills good and good kills evil and the reputation of your party grows as well as their experience.

My hunch is that you shall begin the game with the good servant very low on status while the death knight is high. So he shall be protecting you and losing reputation until you convert him into a good character and rob your soul from his hands once more; but how is to be seen.

You do get experience when your minions kill enemies, but it is much less (I believe half).

I believe the experience in riftrunner should be shared equally to all the characters near the combat (or those whos life is threatened) If you get it only for fighting it'll make me think of diablo and I dont want that, roleplaying games means you play your character the way you want him to be. If you want to be a cowardly thief and hide during battles and the let the death knight do the killing you should be rewarded with experience because that is your character's nature. He lived through the battle so he's good at what he's doing and deserves experience

That way I'd feel like I have more control over my character's behaviour, I wouldnt always HAVE to make him kill to get stronger

*cheers*
