Now that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> will have parties ( <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" /> ), I hope that theire will be group spells. Anyone got a great idea for a group spell <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mage.gif" alt="" />

Something like aid, bless,... Can be cast and effect whole party. Or a bad one: fireball <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> You can compare them with areaspells. Only the area is your party.

Like joliekiller said, It would also be nice to use the principle of 1+1=3

for example: If your char and the DK uses the lightning spell at the same enemy at the same time, that the the lightnings come togetter to form a more powerfull lightning to the enemey that is more powerfull than the two lightnings split appart. or some thing like that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

And may be an offencive spell that only works with two(think dual attack,...)

Well you get the idea <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" />. any help to formulate this suggestion welcome

chain-link lightning attack? for melee it can be flanking, except that it can be hard to implement & it'll be just as hard to play in real time.

group-based spells are in diablo2 & paladin class is famous for aura-effect spells. it'll be great for defense or stat-augmentation.

sure, why not?

Perhaps with full party control you could select two party members and tell them to attack in formation (eg. flanking).

The two characters could have skills in The Path of Co-operation which lists eight skills that allow the two to fight together. You both require a spare skill point and the level requirements for the skill before either can purchase it, and they both purchase it simultaniously. The skills could be as simple as flanking and be more advanced like playing ping-pong with the enemy being the ball and your Mauls being the bats. You could have one hold the enemy and the other gets a 100% success hit on them (damage reduced by armour). Simultanious blades from either side could decapitate an enemy (5% chance of success per hit per level).

So, any other gorey ideas?

I was more thinking along the line of summoning upper class creatures(dragons for instance)with two or more party members. Because I don't see one guy summoning such a creature alone.

I realy realy realy hate that idea. You're saving the <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> universe and thats not staged like wrestling. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/badsmile2.gif" alt="" />

there's no need to actually come up with any dual-cast spells when you can just rip them all of chrono trigger and call it homage
