Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General how to get lower into dwarven mines

I have found what seems to be a door going lower into the dwarven mines but there is a huge pile of rocks blocking the way and neither the door nor the rocks will highlight so that I might do something with them...help?

You can only get into that area once you have been given the Stone Axe Quest.

1. if you've been in the castle,
2. survived Iona's dungeon
3. freed Zandalor
4. have already gathered 4 council members.

Then you're ready for the Stone Axe quest (Dwarven council member)and may enter the 2nd lvl of the Dwarven mines
