Hello all,

Before these changes the better rogue build was maximizing Way of the Warrior for the health and ap bonus with a few scattered points in other areas. Talents where faster sneak, lone wolf, and or ritalian or whatever it was. Most of your stat points when into speed / dex with the odd one in constitution.

Now that AP's are working a little different and there is a bunch of different skills(Way of the Rogue) What do you think a good build would be for a rogue class now.

I'm thinking:
Stat points: Dex, Speed, Int, maaaaybe an odd constitution point if you can't find gear to bump it up to prevent the glass cannon effect

Skills: Way of the Rogue, single handed, Reflexes, (2 in way of the warrior if possible to get the HP bonus) and or lp, pick pocket ect if you so choose

Talents Non Lone Wolf:
All Skilled Up
Bigger is better
SpeedCreeper
Guerrilla
Ratillion (Forget exactly what its called, more recovered AP)
Lighting Rod or whatever you want to take as one of your last talents

Also if anyone has had a chance to test out any of the new abilities I would be interested to know.

Thanks,

Raistlin. Go read the Dragonlance series right now. It's only 3 books. You'll thank me. Trust me.

Go.

Now.

I've only just started a new Rogue so I'm in the early game.

However, I'm not sure INT is a great option for Rogues, especially now that they have skills of their own. I'd rather put those extra points into CON.

Raistlin on a fronline fighter - especially an already-FRAGILE fighter like the Rogue sounds like a Bad Plan. Extra AP doesn't do any good if you are dead. Rogues now get a Haste skill, which boosts their AP tremendously, so Raistlin is much less needed.

No such thing as Reflexes.

Speedcreeper should be one of the first talents you take. "All Skilled up" and "Bigger and Better" I prefer to leave as "all the other great ones for my class are gone now".

When your first making your character there is a reflex's somewhere that helps you dodge more.... I forget what it was tho, thought it was a ability.

Hmmm well that's as the most important thing for a rogue is AP points as you want enough to get behind the targets, sneak-backstab then re-sneak so your not getting hit that round.

That was removed from in-game use a couple months ago, it was only until this patch when they finally got around to removing it from character creation.

That certainly is a valid approach, I just prefer to get class-specific Talents first before general-purpose ones.
