When I combine a barrel lid and a rope to make a shield, my game crashes. I would've sent a bug report, but it gives me an error on storage being full.
Do you have any other shields in the inventory? Crafting seems touchy about duplicate items, unless that has been fixed. I store all crafting stuff in container and try to craft outside the main inventory...
