Game crashes in co-op, then when i restart the game, i can no longer invite ANYONE! It's as if the save is completely messed up. It totally ruins the game, which I had played co op for a long time. ANyone else have this very irritating bug?

Yes, someone else did report that same issue.

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool.

Yep, I haven't been able to host co-op since April 23rd. It isn't the save. I completely wiped D:OS and Steam from my pc. All the folders, regedit entries, etc. Didn't matter.

I made the mistake of alt-f4ing the game when it got stuck at "releasing data" and haven't been able to host since. Then, it happened again but with my friend hosting (my game crashed upon loading a new area, he got stuck at loading screen). I told him to wait and see if it would load eventually then I'd rejoin the game but it never did. So then I was like "Well.. let me try rejoining before you restart". After I rejoined him it loaded the next area normally (about 5 seconds after pressing the join button, after a few minutes of waiting to see if it'd load). I assume if he would have closed D:OS at that time he wouldn't be able to host anymore, but we didn't want to risk not being able to play co-op with each other at all.

The only tip I can give people is if you are the host of a co-op game, do not restart your game if it looks like it has frozen on the loading screen. Instead, wait for your co-op partner to restart his game and rejoin you. Then it should load normally. Of course this bug could have more causes, to which this advice would be useless (Sadly, in our case it's too late, we're bugged until Larian can figure it out, though I may try a reformat if it isn't fixed by the time the full game launches). All my other random CTDs didn't seem to cause it though as I was still able to restart and re-host co-op just fine on several normal CTDs, only the alt-f4 at the loading screen seemed to put the nail in the co-op coffin. /shrug

I just recently found a worse bug ever...

It's like your leveling up your main character and your companion and forgot to use points to increase your status and skills and then you get a black screen that shows the UI and then the game crashes...

But their is another version of the same bug that the screen would turn black and if touch any of the keys and then the game would return but sadly some of the npcs would be removed from the game and you can't continue...

I figure out that the black screen was some kind of game corruption triggered when your main character and companion lvls up all at the same time that causes the game to crash or somehow resets the game to a certain point that removes certain NPC and that breaks almost all the quests and you can't continue unless you restart the game...

That's odd. I have all the characters level up at once but I never got black screens. I think there may be some bug with some GPU drivers that result in a micro-crash when the leveling up animation is executed on character faces. It's like this flashy yellow fiery animation going across the circles with character faces. Maybe that crashes the game, then it recovers and weird consequences follow?

I think this may be a common "bug", but sometimes when I move my mouse over items in my inventory, all the text and pictures from the quick-hints that pop up turn to some kind of strange symbols, as if there is a memory leak going on or something, but they go back to normal when I move my mouse away and back again.
