Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General Why items shouldn't be random

After playing last night, I felt I had to open a thread on the funny items that have been found. With all of the complete randomness in Divine Divinity, some weird items exist out there. The best ones I've seen so far:

Fork of the Lion: A table fork, confiscated by the Watch, which increases your health.

Pot of Hell Spikes: A cooking pot imbued with deadly magics. I'd want to keep that away from my kids!

Rogue's Bastard Sword of Death: +4 Agility and Deathblow (2). Not unreasonable, but I just thought the name was cool.


Another thing I saw last night was when I entered the Verdistis sewers, by stairway or Teleporter Stones. Brifly under the cursor was the object: Object 3104. And later on it did it again with a different number. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Maybe something that was taken out of the game at some point?

oh, I got those, in the Dwarven place, with the teleporters, uits says, rock, bush,or item 50043 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/question.gif" alt="" />

The items text that appears briefly whe using the teleporter pyramids I noticed even when playing the demo. I assumed that it was showing something near the pyramids but than I noticed it was completely unrelated. The game seems to have some rough edges sometimes...

i only see that just before the game screen is fully loaded...

And another yesterday: New Old Plate Mail. It had normal durability.

Ya I found a Deadly Spoon or something of the like once.
