Its why Im still here. The whole time Ive been here Ive never been flamed or abused once <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

When I was first playing the game too people were always very quick to help me with any problem I had. I especially remember Raze, Kiya and Anthea were quick to respond to any "Help Im stuck" post (If I missed anyone else who helped I apologise <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />).

welcome <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> to our little playground, of a million laffs,
and as much info as you can swallow,
you'll never get it all,
thats why we all keep coming back...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
that.......and it's fun here!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
this is my home away from home...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/party.gif" alt="" />

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

You know Jurak; you are one of those reasons that made me respect Orcs. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
The funny thing is if you claim “here” to be your home, while I would have objected that it was rather mine, on a second thought I noticed that you did not forget to say the word “our”. Yes indeed it is our home, because of the sisterhood/ brotherhood emotions we have for other members of the forum.

When Larian Studios finish Divinity II there shall be an online version with multiplayer.
I would go to war with you as a partner anytime with my back forged to yours and I am sure that my back is perfectly defended. A ranger Elf/mage and an Orcish Chieftain is a deadly combination. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

True, but at that time, i wasnt at the forum yet. Mandrake was already an 'old aquitance at the forum' before i arrived.

Unlike many of the forums i have seen for games this one is as good as it gets. My son visits many of the Diablo II and LOD forums. They are full of loud obnoxious people ( mostly teenagers ) speaking hacker speek and jargon only 3 other people understand.

I have been reading post here for several weeks and nobody name calls or blows anyone off. There are a lot of posts I don't read about quests until I have finished the quest. The only exception so far was how to escape from the House of Madness. I didn't feel bad in spoiling that one because I would not have found the answer on my own.

I have been enjoying this forum almost as much as the game.

Well, I've been to many forums as well (including visiting but never posting at the Diablo forums). This forum is indeed a lot nicer than those, it's also why I'm still posting here once in a while really.

Now, I don't want to insult anybody, so don't take this personal, there's always exceptions after all, but most people here, are European (actually, read: Non-Americans). I'm sure there's sites where the majority is American that are also mature. Yet somehow, many gaming forums, where the majority is American, there's a large group of them either being loud and obnoxious, or loud and ignorant. Luckily not all Americans are like that of course, I've got a few with whom I talk on MSN a lot for example. But I think that overall, forums with more non-americans tend to be more civilized/mature than forums where (mostly teenage) Americans visit.

Of course, I could be wrong, but it's just the impression I got. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

I for one am not big on visiting forums. I mainly come around if I have a question about a game or something. But, I do agree that this forums is one of the most pleasant ones I know. The other forum I regularly visit is an anime forum <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

Sadly, I have to somewhat agree with MDE about many gaming sites. I've seen the gaming sites he has visited and I just couldn't hang around them because they are either depressing one another or they are being hostile. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />

Well, I haven't been here very long, so I don't know how many trouble makers came by here, or people who got banned for one reason or the other...

But I do remember Johnson <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> Teenager and American iirc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

And well, I did generalize, but I also said not all Americans are like that. I know a 13y old American who's more mature than some 18-20y old Americans I met. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />

Johnson is not American, he is from Singapore. I even have his picture.

Thank you for the praise. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

Yes, I actually feel kind of proud being here in this community for so long - from the very Beginning ( like a lot others).

I am glad this Forum has constantly preserved this "special feeling" as I call it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

The worst things I have in my memory are two things :

- Hell seemed to breake loose when <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> was first released in Germany. It was still full of nasty bugs, and tons of users complaining rolled into the Forum. It was horrible.

In a way, I have learned very much from that regarding customer support. I believe I'm ready now to begin in this field, with this experience. Others might, too, we have excellent examples here (Kiya, Barnabus, Raze, only to mention a few).

The secont thing was a person called speedstr. I will NOT comment further on him. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" />

Why is Dragon forgotten? He was a great helper, made all the large maps, created various large spoiler threads and even reorganised the alphabetic map section.

And I couldn't have helped, if I hadn't been taught by Kejero to UBB, by Dragon how to IMG - and Raze by telling me how to convert pics, providing me with the appropriate proggies for this, helping me with my ftp probs in my HP. Last not least: The older German forum was a great source of help for me to pass it on to English gamers at the beginning - specially Hellfighter's and Barnie's pics.

There were so many gamers I had to ask to teach me the very simplest things - and all were very patient with me. Some have left the forum, but I still remember them fondly - Jove? (Tracking my posts faithfully when I mixed up East/West) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" /> Velthuijsen (the alchemist <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ), Sir_Toejam, the great curser <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />, Mr_Tiger123, the jester (found out the nifty barrel-theft-trick) - and all those who chose to share their XP, tricks, hints and fixes (Kordoba, Harglowe, Sir Laurence) etc.

I just chose intuitively some people I had in mind. No long thinking. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

I know there are many more, but someone else should make a list, if desired, not me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

It's true there is almost too many helpers here to list...

they come and they go ...but your right Alrik and Kiya.... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

i find "warm fuzzies" all over this forum, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/kitty.gif" alt="" />

and the help section covers just about every aspect of the game,

most of it with maps or extensive details...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

WheN!! i buy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> and the next <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> ... I know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/idea.gif" alt="" />

where i can get good quality, fast service, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

for whatever problem i may encounter!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

like Lockmar always says.......

thanks. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
