The purple one you find in the Dark Forest? The one looking yellow in your potion bar? Brings back 20 mana/health, does NOT add to it. I'd sell it - no quest related to it.

Normal purple potions: Boost up resistances on a temporary basis.
Grey: Is supposed to bring back mana/health, too.
