I was one of the RPGWatch backers and got an alpha and beta key as part of the campaign. When I play Divinity, I have version Beta 1.0.30.0 which is old. I can't update via Steam and the key that I have doesn't seem to work when put it into Steam. I'd like to have the Beta access I purchased as part of my $500 donation to Larian.
I talked to Myrthos, owner of RPGWatch, and he seems to think the alpha key I have should work for both alpha and beta access. He even sent me an extra code that he has, but that didn't work at all either.
Help!

Yeah, that's the newest version available, don't worry. Steam updates the game automatically anyway for everyone having a key.

Ive been writing bugs into the old bug thread, 1.1.28 - not to create more such threads if there is no need. But i guess it was understood correctly.

too late, I'm just finished everything I can do before exiting town. I've got all the skills bought for the 4 folks and that took quite a bit of resource reallocation. 15,000 gold takes a while to acquire

Tomorrow's update will make all savegames pointless again...

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

You can play offline if you want to continue, so the game wont update itself.

You can play offline if you want to continue, so the game wont update itself. Sure but for what reason? The new beta seems to be a big step in the right direction again so it would be foolish to stay with the old one. And in the long run you won't be able to safe your savegame anyway...

Yeah, not updating makes your reports worthless... not that good an idea. Plus all the changes and fixes...

Well, he did so much work to get ready to head out of the city. I was just feeling sorry for the guy. he could play on without updating for a while, i guess. His choice anyway.

Nah, I have bad, bad, bad restart-itis anyway. It's a horrible disease that lets me play a game for over 1000 hours and still not complete the Dragonborn DLC
