I think I've found another use for Teleporter Stones. Travelling long distances! (Duh!)

If you have both of them in your backpack, you can throw one else where at use the other to warp there. Useful for getting on top of obstacles. What you can also do is press CapsLock, scroll to the other side of the map or where a teleporter platform is, throw the Pyramid there, wait approx. 20 seconds, depending on the distance (you'll see the Teleporter Stone fall out of the sky and appear on the ground), and use the one in your backpack to warp there. You can throw them over most obstacles. Only buildings and some hills block them. Don't forget to turn CapsLock off again.

This actually saves quite a bit of time, and saves dodging inbetween trees and hills.

Some places are a little tricky for throwing teleporter stones on top of, and can depend on where you are standing as well as where you are trying to drop. If you check the screen shot (127KB) I made on how to get out of the easter egg area if you brought both teleporter stones with you, I played around for awhile in the eastern section (below the teleporter pad), then moved around a bit and found a place that worked.

For throwing things long distance, have you tried waving the cursor around the screen, so see if a slightly different location will help? I did this a few times moving chests of loot.

Some hills are marked as no-go zones. You can't put anything there. They're generally places that you can't go to anyway. One trick I found to detect no-go zones in to walk near hills in the dark. The light from your lantern makes strange patterns around the inside edge of the hill. Try the ones in the graveyard or Dark Forest.
