I'm using ESET Smart Security and found that I was having problems running Divinity Original Sin Beta. It would get stuck after the "new game" screen. It only worked if I turned off the firewall. Anyhow I finally fixed the problem by excluding EocApp.exe from application modification detection. As I've yet had to do that with any application/game; I was wondering if this is due to still being in beta and/or not being a signed/trusted application yet (which can be set to be excluded by default in ESET)
For the beta, EoCApp.exe and SupportTool.exe both try to get internet access (for crash reports and feedback), though you can start EoCApp.exe directly without internet access at all.
