This really made me mad. I approach him in the cave with the control device and manual. I saw him, before the battle started i inputted the commands for him to self destruct, didnt work, to disarm, didnt appear to work either. Started the battle, was doing damage to him, got him down to about 1/3 health, tried the disarm command and.....he restores all his health? self destruct didnt work either. Also when its my turn and I hit him with a bow, he randomly restores health? Is this intended?

Did arhu troll with that manual? None of the commands work, all restore his health.

Were you hitting him with special arrows or standard attacks? Did the combat log indicate how he was healing?

Ok, so we discusses ingame that the Diseased effect if possibly bugged and makes it appear that they are regaining health. But why wouldnt the controller work, in or out of combat? Was 10000% sure I was doing the right button combos..

I don't know. It may need to be within a certain range, but other than that I don't know why it wouldn't work.

I've found that there is definitely a range on the controller. Not sure if its tied into combat range or not, but at roughly the max combat range it wouldn't work. Letting the machine get much closer, and it worked reliably.

I've only tried the self destruct command though.

Using the controller self-destruct works for me using it *in* combat. That may be scripted.
