Okay either this is someone pulling of a joke or it's really a (new?) staff member at Larian Studios who did'nt request a special forum account. Cause staff member's names are drawn in a special color.

Well technically speaking I deal only with Mac stuff. So I am absolutely fine without special colour. And no it's not a joke, you can ping me for OS X issues.

I have installed the game on my Macbook Pro, it starts, I see the loading screen but then the screen freezes black, I can barely see the profile selection screen.
It's a MBP mid 2010, is it too old and incompatible?

Specs:
Intel Core i7 620M 2,66Ghz
Nvidia GeForce GT 330M 512 MB
8GB RAM

This is unfortunately a known issue with the shadows rendering!
To "fix" that you have to disable shadows before launching the game.

Travel to your Documents folder and check
Larian Studios/Divinity Original Sin/graphicSettings.lsx

There you can change different parameters including Shadows, which you should set to zero.

On a more interesting note, I see you're living in Belgium. How do you think - can you visit Larian Studios in Ghent? We're not talking about day/time - just the notion, how do you think can you help a bit with this?

As for the reason of your issue I am afraid this might be driver bug.

I would theoretically be able to visit Larian, but it's entirely dependent on the time and date, where my options are quite limited.

Concerning my issue, disabling the shadows solved it, thanks.
