They don't move like cloth on bodies, they don't work as either robes or flowing trousers, and they ruin what appearance of layering the old textures had.
Generally they look like cheap 80s action figures: supposed to be robed, but marketing said the legs have to move independently.
Completely jarring and impossible to unsee.
Don't do that. Put them back the way they were.
There've been lots of complaints about the "bathrobe" approach, I know, but this is *not* a fix for that.
Allowing initial equipment choice would be a fix. It's not like anything you start with gives any kind of advantage.
This isn't even an improvement: it's just a mistake.
