Im thinking about getting this.. I was gonna get it the day it was released.. but it had ALOT of bugs, and was quite unstable.. now with patches out, im thinking about goin for it.. its gotten good reviews on ign.com an gamestop.com

Your impressions?

Lots of quests? can you join guilds an factions?

can you get capes? stupid question i know, but i saw a screen with a knight dude that was wearing a cape and it looked slick.

How many hours is the main story w/o doin quests?

How many, with doing everything?

Divine Divinity is a good game and installing the latest patch will take care of most potential bugs. There are lots of quests and it is possible for you to be a member of more than one guild. You can't get any capes. It would take around 17 hours in my opinion if you follow the main story and even then, you'd have to complete some quests. If you do everything, it may take weeks or near a month to complete the game. It depends upon your definition of "everything". <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

Is there Dragons in it?

There are dragons in this game but you won't be fighting against them. You'll be fighting dragonriders. These are dragons with a man on top of them.

I thought there was a quest, that you could go against a black dragon? maybe it was a drake or somethin.

There are lots of quests, 100+ hours if you do everything. Joining one or more guilds do not make a huge difference in the story or other quests, though. You meet a dragon towards the end of the game, but just for a short conversation.
A demo was released before the game was (so is based on older code) if you want to check it out, though the first part of the game is a little heavy on the hack and slash.

yes, several of them. I must have had like 50 warnings from the developers, and 100 or so chats, really, look in the "is this true" topic.

So.. is there an exspansion in the works? Or is Divine Divinity 2 the next project?

its based in the same universe, though not a sequal, setting 20 years later, as a helper of the person you are in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />. as soon as <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> is out, than <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2 comes out in another year, lots o games, p.s. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> 2 has multyplayer. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

the 2nd one is the same, with a zoom feture, look at the interveiws and pic of it, we don't know about the 3rd one much.

I've had it for a veyr long time now, and still play it, no mulyplayer in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" />, I'm not sure if you control just you or both of you and the deathknight in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/riftrunner.gif" alt="" /> . <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />

You can put it anywere, except the fact that the server MUST support HOTLINKING. And i guess yahoo doesnt. But ask around, there are people willing to host yours (like me <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> )
