You got me there. I am a big fan of Angelina Jolie. Lara Croft the tomb raider that is. I wish the game was as half as good as the movies. Thank you for tipping on this but I have to search the web first.

What part about angelina jolie do you like the most? And the game is only as half as good as the movie, the game is rated very bad around 60%. The makers of the movie put also the blaim on the game for the reason why the movie isn't selling good.

That is what I meant in fact. And the part I like most about AJ is her part as a stunt for herself, she is so athletic and vivid and .... and .... well she is very sexy too.

Playing Tomb Raider for me has always been...How many ways can Lara die? I have laughed and laughed till tears came ... Anyway, I have thought about picking up the game myself, but I have heard that the same control problems and pixilation still continue to haunt this game. I am still holding onto my fistfull of dollars so to speak untill I am convinced 1 way or the other. Or the price comes so far down that I just can't say no.

The makers even forgot to put in the shotgun in the game so you have to download a patch, if you want one.
OK, let's tell in short what most reviews say about the game:
- Awfull controls - A lot of bugs - worse AI - bad camera
and to have something good
+ music + Leveldesign

AI is artifial intelligence or explained easier, how good the non playing characters (all characters which are controlled by the game/pc) move, shoot, take cover for your fire and so on.
And for the controlls there is some slowness in it. If you press a button it all gets done a second later or so. This really irritates

Another problem solved in the world. This makes me happy .
I think that it is the best to see if you may rent it from a friend (if you have any that is ) or so, and then if you still like it you can buy the game.

Classic Tomb Raider has all those timed puzzles. I.E. running to point a, then jumping, hitting a switch @ b,flipping backwards and running back to where you came from befor the door closes or once again Lara dies. ( ) If the controls are not tight, it is extreamly hard to make fast complicated movements. In my case, mostly Lara Dies! You don't have a second to lose or if Lara runs in circles when you are pointing her forward. She dies! I have had the controls in those (Tomb Raider) games do that to me befor.

i wonder what the movie would have been like if they made it more like the game- lara rebounding off walls, missing her jumps and splatting on floor over and over until she gets it, of pulling out her guns instead of trying to catch the wall (which i did quite often), doing swan dives off balconies only to hit the floor one story below (okay, that was just for fun), getting bats attached to her head...

Lara Bean anyone?
I liked the original Tomb Raider when it came out years ago but I agree with what critics say about all the later games "It hasnt evolved". It really hasnt, any other game development company would have evolved and refined the idea with each incarnation but Core never really did. The latest outing suffers from exactly the same gripes as number one did. Wait for gothic 2 to be released in the U.S faile. The main character may not have pointy tits, but at least he isnt a spastic.

Actually I liked the Angel of Darkness, but it does feel like the first game out of new series, with quite some "child-diseases".
The biggest change with the previous five games, which is also the major in this game, are the controls: they're still easy to use, but Lara just reacts incredibly slow. When you're jumping and press spacebar to draw your weapon, it will take her literally two seconds to hit the ground first, stand still, and finally draw it. Moreover, even when you're just running, she's really running in slow motion. No, not bullet-time, just slow motion. Which feels kind of strange. You get used to it though - but most people don't want to, and scream and hate and curse Core and Eidos Which is in their right
Something else which disappointed me was the level design - it's not bad, but it's nothing compared to the first game. They focused on graphics this time - and granted, they look very nice. But mostly it's from one room to the next room, solving a puzzle here and shooting a baddie there. It really feels much more like a try-out than a true Tomb Raider game.
The story is alright, there are interesting bits in it. Which is good for a game that tries to be a movie. And it doesn't do a bad job at that either. The atmosphere is very good. Different from any of the previous games, but I liked it very much. The music is very nice too (soundtrack performed by the London Symphony Orchestra!) and overall the game is pretty well directed. Some of the voice actors do an ok performance while the rest of the cast simply do horrible.
In short, I liked the game mostly for its atmosphere, but I missed impressing level design and original puzzles. If you don't expect to be overwhelmed, I think you'll find this game rather enjoyable. Nothing amazing but nothing incredibly lousy either.
Didn't see the second movie yet. The first one was an almost horrible movie, which didn't really feel very "Tomb Raider" to me. I liked it though, it's fun to watch, and Jolie is enjoying every minute of it, which makes up for quite a few things. I'm expecting the same from the second movie. (Only "more", of course, it's Hollywood afterall ). And director Jan de Bont IS better with cameras than Croft has ever been in any of her games

And suddenly se starts turning around, then a jump, pulls her weapons, put her weapons back and so on, and suddenly she has finished the level. ( A movie with cheats)
