Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Soldiers camp (maybe spoilerish)

After speaking with Mitoc I decided to head east as he suggested to grab some new weapons. So this wizard turns up & messes with the soldiers & I hightail it out of there (always figured running had to be good for your health <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> ).
What I was wondering was a) will this become part of a later quest {to cure them} & to keep away for now or b) kill the poor b****s (if I can) & put them out of their misery (& so grab all the goodies lying around there!!)
Think I'd feel bad if I killed them - after all it's not their fault!
Not really looking for spoiler info, just need to know nothing will be too messed up if I leave it be.

um, well, nothing happens except you get xp if you kill, but later you can learn a spell and waste 10,000 mana saving them all, so just kill them and free tehm.

Nothing will be messed up if you leave them be or if you decide to kill them. IIRC, if you leave the soldiers be for several days, they will be free from the effects of the mindcontrol spell and they'll no longer attack you.

Either way nothin happens to your rep and it affects no quests in any way. Just kill them for the exp.
