Greetings again

Have been bumping up my strength and agility to 60 and 30 respectively, in order to use some of the better axes I've stockpiled from my travels. Was disappointed to see that once armed, these axes are two handed, and my shield becomes redundant and armour class thus falls.

I'm a favourer of the axe. What is the most devastating axe that can be used one handed, or is two-handed the better way to go longer term??

Cheers all

as far as i know theer aren't one handed axes. but i can be wrong. i played only with a sword.
about the best axes around. you find them probably all in the first dungeon (slasher etc..)
and some in the very end of the game.

my gess is i used th eshield and a one handed weopon in tye beginning , because my warrior could need the extra defence. at the end the shield was -semi- useless, exept for the extra charm slots and extra bonusses..

i suggest not using a two handed weapon until until further in the game when you are a higher level, or at least have very high agility. as for good one handed weapons, try a morningstar, they smash skulls.

A good place to get high damage axes is from grisha in the dwarven halls. The normal damage for an axe is 50-100 but he often has ones that do higher damage. Best I saw did 140 or so high damage. Just save before clicking on him and reload until he has a good axe.

Dear Qellonia,
If you are really into axe expertise then you might find it acceptable to use any single handed axe, such as the Dwarven axe and edit it to a reasonable level of power with augmented magic.

Kind regards
