First of all iam really happy there will be a editor for this game, but there are some things iam curious about:

1.Right now different Mods are not compatible, so if u want to add a extra dungeon to the campain u have to load the campain mod and add ur stuff to it => really oversized MOD (correct me if iam wrong?)
A Feature in the Editor where u can select that ur Mod will be an addition to the campain, would be really good , so the game just checks the differences and overrides the changes
2.It would be really cool if there would be a import/export Character/group function => like if u want to create a MOD designed for lvl 20 Charakters or u just want to keep playing with ur chars u build up in the campain

Just 2 things i find the editor/mod section lacks. I know larian is really busy right now and will be on vacation after monday for some weeks. Just wanna write em down here, so feel happy to post ur thoughts about it.

Well in the editor twitch stream they've shown that mods can have data and mod dependencies, and mentioned that if you want to mod the original campaign you simply have to create a mod that has the "Main" mod as a dependency (although I could be wrong about that).

hellos! based on all the mods I have made for various games. Norbyte is right. There is a dependency. The dependency is not added into the mods file size. I love that Larian is letting us mod the main story! and I am sure adding in a new dungeon will be fairly easy task to do.

Open ended story mode is a mod I truly hope that is doable..I do not want the game just to end =p rather just keep adding in level 20 maps..or possibly even higher! depending what the engine can handle for a level cap.

The level cap is a "soft" level cap: since mobs don't respawn the amount of XP you can get in the game is limited and is only enough to reach level 20; there is no hard level cap afaik.
