I can't quite figure out what's going on here. The tooltip says something about regenerating life when standing in blood - but I've gotten inconsistent behavior. I've see it:

- heal when I get hit with slashing damage
- no heal when I'm standing in a pool of blood

Does anyone have a sense of how this perk is supposed to work?

If a leech character is standing in (or walks through) blood, they should heal, if not already at max health.

If you are not at max health when it doesn't work, are you sure you are on the blood? Is there an oil surface, or something, that may be overlapping?

When you get hit with slashing damage, the attack may also be triggering the "bleeding" status effect, and that actually causes a life-leeching character or creature to heal itself.

I'll try and create some more pools of blood to stand in and test it some more

Leech "consummes" blood pools by the way, so you can't get constant heals by staying in one.

Give your leech character Bloodletting (Witchcraft), and they can use it on the other character, who can then either stand or run around or create a blood surface. If your other character learns Bloodletting, it is pretty much an instant heal for the leech outside combat.

Alternately, just head out the gate west of the harbour. There is lots of blood there before you get to the mined section of the beach or higher level orcs.
