Hey,

So i've bought the CE from the larianvault and it hasn't arrived yet. Meanwhile i got an early access code and i can play the game right now using it. The question is. When i do get my CE can i overrite this current code on steam? Or how do i proceed to upgrade this code to the CE version and get the bonus copy for a friend?

I am in the same position.

I bought early access several months ago and then 2 weeks ago I bought the physical Limited Collector's Edition from the Larian Vault.

It says on LV to use the limited edition key on steam but I don't know how to change it from early access version key.

As far as I know, there are no differences between the Early Access code (now full game on Steam) and Limited Edition code, both give the same game. So there not really a point in redeeming the code that comes with the Limited Edition.

The extras in the Limited Edition (dlc for example) will normally come as a different code that you'll be able to add to your game.

Not entirely sure about this though, just pieced together the info that's spread across there forums, the steam forums and kickstarter.

Hmm, then the second copy of the game included in the CE should be a unique code i assume? Thanks for the info.

In my case, the physical Collector's Edition comes indeed with 2 Steam Keys : One is printed on the back of the handbook, whereas the other one is printed on another, additional sheet of paper ... - together witzh the Collector's Edition item codes ...

Did you have early access before you used your collector's edition keys? Did steam allow more than one key?
