Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Help/Tips/Tricks Game Glitch?

I loaded one of my saved games up & I'm having porblems... I saved it right after I killed the evil dwarfs with Josephina (haven't killed her yet). I saved it right before I went back in to kill her & when it loads up my character says "It's just too heavy" but I didn't pick anything up <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> I tried droping all the heavy items that I had & it still dosen't work.

So I tried teleporting to a near by shop where I could sell some things & when I click on the trade icon the game stops, it dosent freeze, it just stops (like when you click on QUIT) & it returns me to my desktop

Is this a glitch in my game or did Josephina put some kind of spell on me? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Did you have Bless cast, or eaten/drank anything that boosts strength? If that effect wore off, it could explain becoming encumbered.
weight bug and disappearing chests

Try saving the game after having dropped heavy items, then delete all of the files in the '..\Divine Divinity\Run\Dynamic' folder.
This folder is used as a cache for the game. Files are created / copied there from the save game folder when you load, and written / copied from that folder when you save a game. The files will be re-created as required the next time you start Divinity. If there was a corrupt file in that folder, deleting the files should fix the problem.
After this re-boot, shut down all non essential programs and try loading the game again.

I too get kicked out and back to my desktop. I do not know why. I just figured I out stayed my welcome and they kicked me out. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />. I save all the time now because of it.
