the debug tab on the bottom says: "no flashplayer found in UIObject: Update" and "Flash load fail: "C:\program ... \Public\GUI\subtitles.swf"
this error appears to come up 10 times per second in the debug tab.
also i cannot close the editor. only via task manager.

also i cannot close the editor. only via task manager. I got this at first, when I set the game data path as the primary directory "Divinity - Original Sin" instead of the "\Data" subdirectory. Once I changed it and restarted the toolkit (although I had to force close it via Task Manager, as well), then it worked fine.

Did you double check that your GameDataPath and EditorDataPath are set correctly?

I followed the instructions given on the steam update. I got the last step and the editor loaded but in the info tab on the bottom left of the message panel its constantly spamming:
Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often and indication that other memory is corrupt
Its repeating this about 5 times per second.
Anyone know how to fix it?

If you're following the tutorial guide on the Steam forums, make sure to notice that the instructions are out of order when compared to the order the paths are listed in in the Editor (and shown in on the attached image in the tutorial guide).
The Editor Data path is shown first, and the Game Data path is shown second. However, the instructions tell you to "first click on Game Data Path" and select the "Data" folder, and then to "click on the Editor Data Path" and select the "Editor" folder.
In other words, just make sure you didn't enter the Data folder for the Editor Data Path, and the Editor folder for the Game Data path.

Next question - how do i get back to the point of being able to put that information in? i uninstalled and reinstalled the editor but it is apparently doing the same thing without me going through and putting those file paths in....

I didn't run into any errors after following the tutorial instructions to create a level and place a character into it. When it got to the point of toggling in and out of "Game Mode" I've run into trouble. When I go into Game Mode the game screen is black, save for the UI elements. I loaded up the Cow module in the editor and was able to see everything without issue when I went into Game Mode. So, I'm not sure what's causing that problem in my module. Is the default lighting not enough to light the scene? Has anyone else run into this?

In fact, I've reloaded the entire application a few times since then. Hmm. Were you able to "drag" the AISeeder, Player Template, and StartPoint onto your terrain like the instructions indicated? I had to actually select from the list and click on the terrain to get them to place.

Yeah, I had to click as well rather than drag.

Well, I adjusted their position and everything is working as it should now. I think I may have had them too close to the edge. I'm even able to load it up now through the actual game instead of the editor. Bring forth the next tutorial! /gimmehands

Has anyone actually tried loading the main campaign module yet? What were your results?

unexpected. one has to select a level, first, including character creation and whatnot. ... ... ... ... a lot less user friendly than I expected. or rather, less intuitive. no idea still on how to import custom assets. Editing campaign assets results in an error: the object does not exist.

no idea still on how to import custom assets. During the Twitch stream, they stated there's no ability to import custom assets, yet. Presumably, that will come later.
