GOG Galaxy isn't being released until August 31st..

So you, LARIAN, are delaying our game to make changes to a version that won't actually take effect until the end of August.

HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?

Why the delay for this if were not getting it along with our game at the same time.. why has this been done?

This is the tin lid...

First your arrogance in thinking you had the right to change kickstarter conditions with the non-DRM-free disc.. well you were certainly put in your place over that, yes I read the KS page... but we've also had the constantly shifting contents of the CE, the disregard of those who wanted the KS on the box , yet another condition you didn't have the right to change, and the fact that those who want a GOG version are not being compensated for the dice except with a version of the game that is utterly useless to them.

In there anything else you have to tell us SVEN? Anymore cock ups you've still to disclose?

You do realise this whole thing has been a regretable mess for some of us?

I sincerly hope you get off your ass and sort this issue for early tommorow morning.

You've had months to prepare for this, and you still cock it all up?.. but you only cock it up for those people who shouldn't have had to deal with ANY of this mess in the first place, you see this game should have been DRM-FREE as a priority.. it's you fucking around with steam that's caused a lot of this mess.. but they get their game despite the fact that their version shouldn't have been the priority.

So yeah, a big thanks Sven, cheers mate for causing all this crap with your shift in priority. thankyou

I'm also a bit disappointed by the fact that the GOG.com release isn't ready yet and I'm currently looking for an exact release date. Only got to watch a tiny bit of the twitch session today, so might have missed something.

So without any hard words or feelings; when will the game be available on GOG.com? If it really takes 2 more months, can we (as KS backers) get a temporary download or something?

I only started with Dragon Commander last week so I'm still good for a little while, but I'm nonetheless really eager to finally install and play D:OS...

AFAIK, Kickstarter backers will receive access to the GOG version tomorrow. However, the public will be able to purchase D:OS on GOG only when Galaxy goes live.

Wibble, shut the fuck up. Seriously, do you have an endless supply of bitch fits, and just feel the need to let them all out today?

Steam was used during beta development for the ease of pushing updates, afaik. I am also disappointed about the lack of GOG, but you can always grab the game and then delete steam from your system. The game itself is still DRM free, even if it is delivered through a DRM system.

One of the unfortunate side effects of making it hard for people to access media - is that they might just access it anyway, without any of the hassle. smirk

Anyway, I really dislike how on steam I cannot see the Source Hunter pack on my games list, even though I bought it and I have the trunks and goblet in game. Not sure where the artbook, dev speak and soundtrack will show up.

While I agree that having D:OS delayed for non-KS backers until the end of August is a huge disappointment, we don't know whether this is GOG's or Larian's idea. Until more information is made available, it seems rather early to be casting blame.

However I would agree about the general mess that this has been for non-Steam users, including the need to email for a Steam-free disc version and the delay in offering GOG codes. GOG themselves have to share some of the blame (I'm still unable to download D:OS from them since the download links result in 404 errors) but this does suggest poor planning from Larian and a reluctance to accept there are customers (and backers) outside of Steam.

You need to use the GOG downloader to be able to download from there the normal download does not work but with the downloader you can get it.

Others have reported similar but when I tried it, it crashed on my system (maybe due to the large number of security/system permissions it needed). Raised a ticket with GOG so have to wait on them to fix things. *taps fingers*

Can download the artworks though - whoopee!

Quick note: the GOG download problem is due to invalid links on the GOG account page. Until this is fixed, the following links should allow GOG users (who have received and activated the codes supplied by Larian) to download the D:OS installer:
