Don't read if you are not familiar with all Cyseal quests.

Well, for starters, what DID you try other than drag and drop?

Is there anything TO try aside from drag and drop? I'm having the same issue

This problem is occurring for other things as well, e.g., if I try to move a screen into a large empty space I get "Path Blocked" even when there is nothing blocking.

Try standing closer, or vary your position a bit. A couple people have reported this being a little finicky now.

I gave it a good 15 minutes, trying every angle I could come up with with nothing to show for.
If there is a way to do it, its a secret to me.

Maybe a spot or angle I might have missed by half an inch. Still its not like you need the chests there to progress.

Good to know the problem is known tough.

I had the same problem, but a guy on the Steam forums for the game inadvertently found a fix. I tried this many different ways, but this is the only one that worked.

Fix: Stand next to the pedestal, save your game, quit the game completely, then reload the game and try to place the pendant. (For me it was still saying it was blocked at first, but i found a spot that worked pretty quickly.)
