In a game that has so much text to read, having a lot of it missing is frankly a pain in the ass to read.
The gog version needs patched asap, and not sometime in the next couple of weeks when they come back from holiday.
All this and none of the KS in game items.... all in all it's in pretty piss poor condition, especially when you count everything else, no multilayer for two month, how is this justifiable?
I'm Kinda pissed at the fact that Larian knew way last week the game wasn't really fit for release.
Paraphrasing Sven..."up to last week we thought we'd launch with GOG Galaxy support."
But instead we get an inadequate version, with no functional multiplayer update until the end of August, but we weren't informed beforehand and have had to find out at release, that's BALLS guys. TWO MONTHS FOR A WORKING GAME. :<
This fact alone, makes the 'supposed' DRM-FREE priority a lie... the Steam version works, it's obvious where their actual time when.. not into the DRM-FREE release for a certainty.
Doesn't it piss anyone else off that they switched priority without telling anyone?..... So it's a big fuck you from Larian to those who insist on DRM-FREE and aren't interested in dealng with steam.
I mean , HONESTLY, what kind of people raise money on the basis of certain promises then don't keep those promises.... or at the very least are so lax in fulfilling those promises even at release those promises aren't fulfilled to any proper expectation of quality, and won't be til a good time after the fact.
This whole fiasco..is beyond making me mad..at least anger fades.. I'm just simply very disappointed with how Larian have conducted business with those who expected a full compliance with our KS agreement.
And that disappointment won't fade, it'll be remembered and it will always impact on any decision in the future to purchases from Larian.

Seems the KS items for the steam version are also not working. Though Larian keeps pushing updates, so maybe they work already? Even so, shit happens and it's not really fair to Larian blaming them for everything. They've done everything they could to make this launch successful - because they know how important a good reputation is. The real measure is not what doesn't work, but how quickly they fix it

No Multiplayer in a coop-based game? Are you kidding me? Your sure about that? I can understand not having gog galaxy support on release, but still: Does the game not support direct IP or LAN multiplayer?

You're getting what you were promised, you just need to wait for GOG Galaxy to be launched for the game to be fully functional.
What did you want them to do, delay the launch of the game and make everybody sit around waiting for GOG to finish Galaxy?
The hyperbole surrounding this is pathetic.

Nope, nothing shows up... no lobbys nothing
You think some random dude is going to be silly enough to give some stranger their IP number just so they can hook up for a game? I ceratinly wouldn't.
OH, and as for my having friends to play with over lan or IP.. I do, but they've taken one look at the mess of the game and laughed at me for buying it, but I didn't have much choice as I'm a backer.... so yeah, they aren't interested in it in this condition.
It's all very tiring.

If Larian aren't to blame then who.
I would accept 'shit happens'.. but Larian have done their level best to hide the issue from us til we run smack up against them.. they knew last week the gog version was going to be inadquate... why didn't they at least give us a heads up so we wouldn't be disappointed on the day?
So, yeah, I do blame Larian, regardless of their 'accomplishments'. There have been too many screw upps with too much hiding.
But one thing I ABSOLUTELY DO hold Larian responsible for is a two month wait for a proper version of the game....Damn them for that.

Missing text = Nvidia anti-aliasing bug. Enable "Application controlled" anti-aliasing in Nvidia control settings (looks like you set it to manual for some dumb reason).
GOG version has direct IP and LAN options. If you don't want to spoil your IP (funny because you do it every signle second on every website you visit), use Hamachi or any other virtual LAN.
Lobbies = Steam hosted infrastructure. GOG was your choice.
People are dumb /thread

He did kid me indeed. https://secure.gog.com/forum/general/divinity_original_sin_on_gogcom_bstatus_updateb/page1 We will release Divinity: Original Sin in the next few days. We are working on the Windows version of the game right now and waiting for the Mac build to arrive. The version of Divinity: Original Sin that will be available for sale, will be complete content-wise, and will allow for local/direct-IP multiplayer, but will come without the online matchmaking component and game auto-updating, which will be introduced as a later updates.

You wanted the GOG version, this means you are bound to the gog infrastructure, which is not ready right now. If you do not want Steam than donエt complain if you are losing the steam infrastructure. The choice was and still is yours. If gog would not develop galaxy at all than the current state of the game would be final for the gog version and that would be totally fine. Automatic Match-Making is not healthy anyway
