Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - General Dots on HUD?

So I've been playing Divinity Original Sin for a bit now and have noticed these dots at the top left of the screen and was wondering what they did?

It's a option to form your group/companion layout to those settings.

It is. When combat starts you will fall into position using the selected shape. Has any noticed that the formation resets when you load a save?

Baldur's Gate and the other Infinity Engine games had a similar system. I haven't played enough to notice it resetting on a load Patrick. Waiting to be able to re-issue one of my steam keys to play with a friend of mine.

It does reset on load. And it's been like that since beta. Got tired of rearranging and just travel with the default square formation

Actually, the formation icon is still reset on loading, but the formation itself is not.

I can confirm this. I usually travel in a diamond formation (with warrior in the front), and after a load the icon had changed, but my party was still moving the diamond formation.

It's only a minor inconvenience imo, and it'll most likely be fixed in a patch.

unless it's a design choice. and because of that it does not get "fixed" at all
