Tried searching, but keep finding spoilers.

I'm at the beginning of the game. No problems up until I found the healer's house with Evelyn. I choose a patient and if I stay in the room with the lightning, crash. If I run out of the room and then talk to Evelyn after, it says "Tripping" and "Hammertime" over our heads and crashes. Recently it seemed to pop up something about space time continuum, then crash.

Win 7 64bit
16GB RAM
Geforce GTX 480
500GB SSD

This is a repeatable crash. Any time I load a save game and go back to her, it crashes at the same instant.

1) Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
2) Updated all sound and video drivers.
3) Tried playing from EOC instead of from Steam.
4) Verified install integrity of game files.

Any help please? I am starting to assume I have to start over and somehow the game save got corrupted or something.

A couple people have reported a problem there.

Try going to the murder scene first (talk to Aureus in the legion headquarters and then head to the King Crab tavern).
That will trigger the same event, but without the dialogue, so it is possible it may work properly. If the problem is with the End of Time, though, you will get the same crash.

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The zip will contain system info, crash dumps, and your saves (if file size is a problem, you may need to delete older saves from the zip), which should help Larian fix the problem.

If you send over your savegame, we might be able to see if it is indeed corruption in the save.
We did do an update in the late afternoon yesterday that could fix save corruption.

My best suggestion would indeed be to start over if we do find that the crash is reproducible with your save.

Thanks guys. I ended up having to just leave the room and let the two patients die. Now, I finally got access to the room in the pub and the same exact crash happens and says Whoops and Hammertime above my characters' heads.

I had even tried starting from a different save and it made no difference. I will download the report.zip file and email you guys. That stinks, though, cannot continue to progress evidently, and I did so much.

Otherwise love the game.

Sent the report.zip to you guys. Please let me know, thanks.

I get the same problem after choosing who to heal. This happened to me 3 times in a row, so I have just stopped playing all together.

Let me know if they figure out what the cause is or how to fix it!

Have you tried generating the report and e-mailing it, per Raze's post? The more info they get, the quicker they're able to diagnose and fix the problem.

Same issue here. No workaround yet?

So I reinstalled the game and decided to walk out of the room while that scene was going on. I walked back in and the loading screen came up and I teleported to the next area. No crash.

I had a repeatable crash at this point, although on a much older system than the OP's - Win XP 32 bit.

There was some audio stuttering on the loading screen just before it crashed, so I turned the Sound Quality toggle down from High to Low, and this resolved the problem.
