Hi. How do I sell items? I know you can trade with a lot of characters in the game but how do I just sell items for gold?

Is there a specific merchant in the first town for example? Can I sell everything to them?

not absolutely sure how it works but it does seem sometimes if you try to sell something that a particular vendor would not really need, such as plate-mail to a potion seller, then they will not give you any gold.
However, it seems the old Guy in the room to the left of the bar in the Inn (can't remember the Inn name, Crab something?) will buy just about anything! Lower room to the left of the stairs.

Any character you can trade with will buy whatever you want to sell. But keep in mind that only vendors will have plenty of gold to trade your items for, most other characters only have small amounts of gold (or none at all). You can find vendors in most towns (including Cyseal, approximately in the middle of the town).

To trade for gold, simply select the items you want to sell, and click the little icon (with the scales) in the top middle of the trade window. This will automatically choose the correct amount of gold from the vendor's stash.

If you decide to trade/sell your items for less than they are worth, you'll gain "attidude points" with that vendor. I'm not sure if this has any advantages later on (for example more gold for items).

I thought this was the way, however, there are lots of traders who offer no gold when you attempt to trade with them it seems, is this their lack of gold or a bug? You click on the scales icon and nothing happens sometimes.

You can see how much gold they have for trade (if any) in the char's inv on the right.

Look above their inventory list, and you can see how much gold they have. If it's '0', then they have no gold to buy with.

As far as I know, the trader inventories are random. Every time I return to town to sell stuff, their inventory is different, and their gold piles have replenished.

They seem to restock (gold value is added on top of original gold though) every levelup.

Cool, thanks people. I'll try that guy in the inn. Sounds like the Conduit guy. Yes, a lot of the time I click the scales icon and I get nothing in return so I can't sell.
