After setting off the detonator and blowing up the troll prisoners there's a dialogue option between the two main characters inside the cell. When activated the dialogue option says nothing, the portrait of the initiator of the speech is empty with a question mark in it, and the only option for a reply is "end." If you click "end," the game crashes.

There seems to be a plot blocking crash in here for me, this is a minor spoiler, but during a fight in there you have to click a portal, that portal crashes the game for me.

edit: reloaded and it worked this time, accidently talking to it with a companion first might've made it crash.

I am having the same issue as OP - i detonated the explosives, went round the corner opened the prison gate - main char dialog pops up - no matter which char i initiate the conversation with the only option is 1) End and game crashes.

I also have the same issue as OP.
Is there any easy way to avoid this conversation (not detonating the explosives might be one, but it would make me feel like missing out on something)?

I am having the EXACT same issue as OP, the worst part is a dinked around with it so much that I now don't have a save to go to before the explosion.

Am I doomed? was anyone able to find a work around? Can I continue with the story?

Okay, I have a workaround. Annoying, but it works. I'm not sure how much of this is necessary or what exactly did the trick, but this is what I did:

- Do *not* blow the charge, nor open the gate.
- Use teleport to pull Dreksis out of the cell and kill him outside of it.
- Use teleport/featherfall/summons to put your players/summons into the cell.
- Kill the remainder of the goblins.
- Loot head.

Journal updates successfully and there is no prompt to talk to your companion. All good.

Edit: For the guys who don't have a viable save prior to blowing the charge, something you may try is to simply ignore the exclamations and proceed. While I was sneaking past the knights on my way to the door in the southeast on my rogue, I tried to summon my party via pyramids only to receive a "it doesn't seem to work here". Anyways, since my party was completely split up, I was unable to speak to my companion, I proceeded. After opening the door, the exclamation went away. *shrug* Again, this exclamation was from the pyramids, *not* from blowing the charge. It may have the same effect though.
