All of a sudden my companion character got a "!" icon above her head but it would not let me talk to her, clicking did nothing. I think that problem is also linked to whatever caused the next one in which when entering combat the character with dialogue problem does not go into turn based mode while the other character are in it which means that character can kill the monsters in real time without the monsters attacking them or using up any of the characters time units/action points when attacking potentially definitely.

The problem originated when I attacked a zombie troll on bridge prior to speaking to it, this somehow left my character in the position mentioned above. I found way to get around it involving making sure that character that is glitched starts combat a few times plus starts NPC dialogues few times for it to start working again.

Someone reported a similar situation for Jahan.

In the alpha there was a possible bug with Madora after speaking to a certain NPC at the end of the Black Cove, which could result in Not being able to speak to her, or sometimes other NPCs. In that case, walking out of Cyseal through the north or north east gate and returning could fix the problem.
Another person reported that they could still talk to some animals, and successful conversation fixed more dialogues for them, until they could talk to everyone again.


Maybe email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem and the report.zip file generated by the D:OS support tool (for the PC version). The report will contain your saves, which may help Larian fix the problem (if file size is an issue, you can delete older saves, leaving at least one before and after this happened).
