So. Before I finished the troll king quest, I bought some tenebrium weapons. It stored them in the tenebrium storage thing that Brandon handed me. Then, after finishing the troll king quest, he took the container, and all the weapons in it. So now I'm out about 15000 gold. Figured I'd post here to let others know.
