I just finished the Game and there were some things i really disliked.
1) The Books from the Teller of Secrets.
She sells Books which give you an extra Stat Point ( Str, Dex, Int etc. ) and 3 extra Ability Points.
Thats quite nice but the Problem is if you get her quite late in the game you miss out alot of Points. So you have to get her as early as possible for the most powerfull Characters -> you should try to skip as much as possible so you have as few levels as possible before you unlock her.
That really sucks. Just give her like 5 of both Books. So you wont feel bad when you missed her.
2) Respecing
Later in the Game you can Respec all your Stat Points, Abilities nad Traits. Here are some Problems.
a) You loose all your Spells. As a Mage that simply sucks and thats the Reason i didnt use it, but i wanted to because i choose a wrong Trait.
b) Lonewolf: You have to take Lonewolf beginning with Level 1 or you will loose Ability Points. You can even respec and not choose Lone Wolf and you will still have your Lone Wolf Ability Points, but on the other Hand if you Respec and you choose Lone Wolf you wont get Ability Points for the Levels you already got.
A nice Fix here would be:
a) Still knowing all the Spells but needing the old Skill Level to reuse them and b) delete the Ability Points if you dont choose Lone Wolf after a Respec and give Ability Points if you choose Lone Wolf later in game OR choose at the Creation whether your Character should be a Lone Wolf or not and make it unchangeable.
3) Chain Lightning fix:
Chain Lightning jump from Target to Target. Thats nice, but it will also Jump to Things like Cheast or Coal Baskets.
Best Case: It will Jump from Enemy to Enemy.
Worst Case: It will Jump from Enemy to Coal Basket and you Lightning vanishes.
Fix: It should only target Actors who are in Fight.
4) Endfight with Astarte.
Give us the possibility to control her.
My friend and me had to reload several times because i got CCed and you Teleported and Astarte thought it would be a good Idea to run into 2 Death Knights alone -> she died -> Game over.
That just sucks. Let us control her or at least tell her to go away and let us fight alone.
5) Magic Resistances.
Magic is nice we have alot of CC and alot Elements, but
a) Fire deals the most Damage but is totally useless Late Game because close the every Enemy has 100 or more Fire Resistance.
Thanks to this Mages are lacking some serious Damage.
Ice has too few Offensive Spells and most are not good except for Freezing. Earth always has Poison ( same Problem as Fire ) and only deal okay damage. Wind has some good Spells but close to no Aoe Damage thanks to Chain Lighnting prefering to electrocute Coal Baskets.
A increase of Damage would be nice. I now have 25 Int and still do only 25-50% of the Damage as my Warrior Buddy does.
50% if i can use Fire. 25% if i cant which is like always.
OR give the Mage some Tools to decrease Resistances like the Warrior has.
