Hi,

Currently I have the two companions you get at the start, Jahan and Madora, we are all level 3. I've just unlocked the Hall of Heroes where I can recruit level 1 henchpersons. So apparently I can dismiss and re-recruit both companions and henchmen. But I am wondering how it is all working exp-wise. Is it like in other games where your dismissed companions stay at home but are still leveling up together with your main group? If not, why would I re-recruit some level 3 when I am 13?

yes, any hired henchmen will be given the same amount of exp that the main character that you are using to talk to the henchmen vendor. But in order to do this, first dismiss the hired henchmen when you first get him ( he will spawn in the hall of heroes) then hire him again. He will now have the same exp as whoever talked to him (i think). So even if you store him in the hall of heroes and have a 5 lvl gap later, just talk to him again and he will be leveled up to the same level with the same amount of exp.

Yes, though Companions start at level 3 and scale up if you have more experience than that when recruited / re-hired.
