i am trying to do some quests, and i have lost many, i can.t get the treasure map from guy with cart in verdisit. his cart has already been burned and not by me, he stands outside of the inn, i have the first map on me but i didnt have it when i first talked to him, it was in stash. any sugestions?

Did you try to talk to him again after you've got the fist map?

i trade with him every 20 game minutes to see what he has, i have talked to him over 60 times, i have no option to ask questions, he is whining about his cart being burned, which is another quest i lost, the person who burned his cart bought a bottle of wine, now he isn't in the bar and i can't get the bottle for the summoning quest. again any sugestions?

I had the same problem, but was able to enter the treasure cave with only the three other maps.

For the summoning quest you don't need that bottle of wine, any wine will work. For the treasure maps, I don't realy know, but try this

You can go the treasure cave without any maps (if you know where it is), but if you don't have all the maps, can you still solve the quest ?

I did try to get the map from MPenzak, but couldn't ask him.
Later I found the 2 last ones (total of 3), and my questlog told me I had a complete set and could go treasurehunting.

Morpheon: One of the treasure maps is called a scroll; maybe you had it and didn't realize?

Jsejee: check the room of the guy who wanted the cart burned; the wine may be on the floor.
Do you have the treasure map in your inventory when talking to Mpenzak? If all else fails;

Nope, The one called a scroll was found in a cell in the dwarven halls.
MPenzak's version was called a treasure map. It was this one I was unable to get hold of, because i didn't ask him for it before his wagon incinerated -and afterwards the dialog crashed as described further up this link.

I don't see mention of dialog crashes, just that you could not ask him about the map. At least the game thought you already had it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

This is where MPenzak crashes, the only three speak options are:
-I've got an idea, I'll talk to the guard
-I don't have a clue
-What do you have for sale (words may differ, but contence is the same)

None of these options give you any clue about the treasure map.

You should have the option to say something like 'You've traveled a lot. Have you ever seen anything like this?' if you have one of the treasure maps. I cleared Rivertown (and got the spider cave map) before going to Verdistis, and IIRC he had that option the first time I talked to him, after his cart burned.

I know, I got that option in an earlier game. Though,in this one I only got the three. Kiya mentioned that a lot of scandinavians had problems with dialog bugs, so it could be a local phenomenon. I think the version they shipped up here is more crappy than the main load <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />.

I recieved the treasure map LONG after his cart was burned. Right when I walked up on the burnt cart & talked with him I clicked the option "Maybe I should tell the guard" or something along those lines. I talked to the guard to my left & got experience points from him for telling him.

Yes, I did. -several times, and every time I came back to MPenzak, He gave me only the three old speech options <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />.

To all - I don't know why - but Morpheon inv files work though he has only 3 maps. I tried both versions he sent to me and he's able to enter the area. I've got 2 screenshots as proof.

About Mpenzak: I recall a post here from a gamer who said, you don't have to take the maps with you - as long as you have seen them, teleport will work.

as you can see: The inv has only 3 maps

Maps:
A wound was forced (Dwarven Hall map)
Where the wooden teeth talk...
A door of treasure...

Maybe you don't need the maps to get there. Maybe you just need the gold, ale, armour and ropes. The maps just show you where the treasure is and don't have anything to do with easter egg area.

Maybe so, but that wouldn't get you a successfully finished quest for collecting them in the questlog.
That is what I got.
I think we have to live with that the game can variate as much as the armour values <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.
