Hello fellow source hunters,
this may be a noob question but i read that if you combine 2 sinews you get a bowstring but when i drop a sinew on another they just stack so how the hell am i supposed to get my bowstring?

Move your inventory out of the way so you can see your character when you "stack" them, and make sure there isn't a text popping up briefly over your head that says "Crafting skill too low" (or something to that effect).

Checked that. There is no messsage when i place one sines on another one.

Strong Sinew cannot be converted to Bowstring. It is limited to regular sinew and Strong Sinew does not seem like it can be "downgraded".

Ah, he said "sinews", not "strong sinew". If he's talking about the latter, yeah.. that seems to be a problem with all the more advanced version of the materials.

However, sinew + sinew does not have a crafting requirement. You can do it with 0 skill.

Ohh i thought that strong sinew is actually the mentioned sinew because that are the sinews i always find/can buy but not the regular ones. Where do i get them?

Try vendors who sell crafting stuff. It's a random ingredient which can be found in containers as well if you're lucky.
