Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Help/Tips/Tricks White Witch

OK I know I'm dense but I still don't understand how to get to the White Witch. I've been all over the Luculla map and have killed everything in site including what I assume were the shrooms and I have held the alt key down steadily and I haven't found any scroll that was mentioned in posts I've read. I just can't figure out how to find the witch.

Am I right in assuming you haven't dispelled the barrier around her house?

If so, there's a hill very close to that (about 195,125) with a chest on top. That chest has the spell to get rid of the barrier, but be careful because the hill has some rather potent traps.

Its not in the chest. Its in the ground right next to it.

another way around is killing the 2 mushrooms on the opposite sides of the cabin

OK back again. I know there's supposed to be a switch in the basement of the hut and I have tried my best but my eyes are 78 years old and I can't always find everything. I would really like a spoiler to tell me exactly where the switch is. Thanks in advance.

It's hidden in the smoke near the door. Cover the smoke trap and you should find it.

Thanks once again. I found the switch and crossed the lake and have followed the voice of the Lady in the Lake.

Still confused. I think this game keeps me in a perpetual state of confusion. I found the White Witch encased in an ice prison and upon reading other posts it seems that I need to have defeated Boreas in order to get a fire element to free the lady. Well I'm In the prison but can't figure out how or where to find this Boreas guy. I tried the front door to the castle and can't figure a way to get past that barrier so could anyone tell me what I have to do to get to this guy?

I would appreciate any help I can get. This game is so complicated there needs to be a decent walkthrough/guide for idiots like me.
EDIT: I found a way to teleport over the wall and killed Boreas and have set the witch free. So now I think I'll try to clear out as many side quests as I can.
